The Not-So-Silent Years

The roughly 400 years between Malachi and Matthew are often called “the silent years” since there was no message from God through the prophets during these centuries. Yet, God was not silent. He was actively at work in the world, preparing the way for the arrival of the Son of David and Savior of the world.
