The Four Portraits of Jesus

God chose to give us four Spirit-inspired portraits of the life of Jesus. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John each approached the life of Jesus from unique angles. Through the selection and arrangement of their materials (a commonly accepted practice among Greco-Roman historians) they emphasized different aspects of His life and ministry.
