Baptized and Tempted

The public ministry of Jesus was preceded by the ministry of John the Baptist, who was called by God to prepare the way for the Messiah. John stirred a massive following of ordinary people who came out into the wilderness of Judea to hear his prophetic messages concerning the coming of the Kingdom of God. When Jesus arrived, John pointed the multitudes and his own disciples to follow Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah.
