Solomon’s Rise & Fall

In Solomon’s day, there was no one more richly blessed and gifted than he was. His father, David, handed him a massive, united kingdom; Solomon did not have to fight a single war. He was given a strong spiritual heritage, being the son of “the man after God’s own heart.” Further, at the beginning of his reign he was given the unusual opportunity to ask God for any one thing. He asked for wisdom to rule well since he was only around 20 years old. In response, God gave to Solomon a supernatural gift of wisdom covering every aspect of life.
