A Chaotic Epilogue

The book of Judges has given us a bleak picture of the nation of Israel during the 350-400 years after Joshua. The cycles of sin have been repetitive, with each cycle taking Israel to a new low. The ending of the book contains two stories that can only be described as pure spiritual and moral chaos. It is sort of like walking into a house of mirrors where everything is distorted. There is no aspect of these stories that come anywhere close to what God originally intended for His chosen nation.
