As Paul drew his final letter to a close, he had solemn words for his beloved spiritual son. The future would be difficult for the servant of God in a world that would turn toward increasing godlessness. Paul through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit was warning Timothy of what would be taking place in his own and future generations.
